Photography Club

Birds, their habitats, and co-existing plants and animals make excellent subjects to photograph. Although Pasco Audubon had held photography workshops and has hosted an annual photography competition since 2021, members consistently requested more photography opportunities. Noriko Buckles, a Pasco Audubon member and well-respected photographer, approached the Board with a proposal to start a photography club. This idea was enthusiastically supported and in January 2026 the Pasco Audubon Photography Club was formed as a place where members can go to discuss photography and learn from each other.  Meetings are held once a month, usually on the third Saturday.  One month, we go out to photograph the birds and their varied habitats throughout Pasco County and the next month we meet at a local library to review and discuss the photographs that we took the month before. In addition, the Pasco Audubon Photography Club hosts various educational activities to further our members’ knowledge of photography.  

Pasco Audubon Photography Club is a member of the Florida Camera Club Council (FCCC), an umbrella organization representing over 50 independent camera clubs. Being affiliated with the FCCC allows members of the Pasco Audubon Photography Club to participate in various state-wide activities, including six annual competitions (three print and three digital).  See the Events Calendar for the dates of our monthly meetings.
